First day in Poland
The road to Poland was quite nice,
there were no big traffic jams or extreme weather, but it was rainy. It seemed
like ages that we were in the car, but after that we got there, and went to the
welcome dinner. The restaurant was located in the city centre, and the food
there was really good. We got to talking with our new friends, who we finally
met face to face, opposed to the video calls we were on previously. It was
great to finally see them and meet them, and we talked for a while, trying to
figure out who was who. After a while, we started to split into pairs in which
we were going to be visiting the families. On the first day, we visited the
school for the first time and Mateusz showed us around the school. Then we
moved on to the first activity after a speech. The first activity was speed
dating which meant that we had to draw a clock and write a person on each hour
of the day. We then moved onto another activity, and that was advertisements,
we all got given items, which we were supposed to sell in groups. After that we
had lunch in the school canteen, then we got a tour around the town, which was
stunning. Once the tour was finished, we got dinner and went off to our
families. We really enjoyed this first day, since we got to see another city
that we would probably never see in our lives.
