Short view back to Humenne mobility

Tuesday was very creative. The aim was to develop argumentative skills and become stronger in persuading the others. Students triggered their creativity in storytelling. First with the help of story cubes and then with writing a folded story. In groups they were trying to sell a solid brick giving it a brand new purpose. Students themselves voted for the best idea. The last activity was the most fun, because students in 2 big groups played game called mafia. In which the goal is to persuade the others to believe what you want them to believe. This days also ended with fun, because everybody was invited to pizza a bowling, which was again a kind of teambuilding activity.

Wednesday was dedicated to making a positive impression and gaining sympathy. Students presented their personalities through acrostic of their name. After presentation students worked in groups looking for what they have in common. In pyramid discussion students were trying to come into group decision on whom to take into cupé on their trip, by argumentation. In the last activity students by running dictation studied different patterns of effective communication, understanding of the written text they later tested in activity called „grass skirt“ with gap fill sentences. In the afternoon students learnt about local history. They visited castle and open-air ethnographical museum. During the dinner, where was offered traditional food, dancers of folk group Chemlon presented traditional dances and songs.

The last day was aimed at emotions was full of drama. As a warm-up students practiced non- verbal communication. Through pantomiming they expressed different emotions. We also discussed emotions in digital communication and practiced using emojis. Students expressed names of different movies or song through emoji on padlet and others were invited to guess their meaning. The main activity that day was about identifying emotions in dialogues and also about accepting others emotions and replying in and effective way. Students practices different roleplays, showing good and bad alternatives of effective communication. Because this was the last day of our project, it was time to tell each other something nice we think about them. Students showered one person after another in „nice shower“ and later, students had the opportunity to write these compliments on each other’s back (on a sheet of paper) so they never forget their value.
